Deuce McDuffie (Rufus King High School) and Haneen Jaraba (Reagan High School) were named the Milwaukee City Conference Student-Athletes of the Week for the week of Dec. 15-21.

McDuffie guided Rufus King to a 2-0 week, averaging 23 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 2 steals per game in home wins over Franklin and North Division. McDuffie, a 2023-24 second-team all-conference honoree in the MCC Gold Division, is averaging 18.3 points per game on the season. Rufus King has now won three of its last four contests; the Generals will return to action on Dec. 30 at Howard Fuller Collegiate Academy.

Jaraba, a senior captain for the Reagan wrestling team, moved up a weight class last week and took home first place in the Stateline Scuffle at Westosha Central High School. Reagan will compete in the upcoming holiday wrestling meet at Hamilton High School on Friday, Dec. 27.
